We're all a bit bleary-eyed here at theJazz today. We didn't finish getting things ready for the beginning of theJazz 500 until the early hours of this morning. Our behind the scenes team, made up of theJazz's Creative Director, Tim Lihoreau; Executive Producer, Richard Porter; and producers David Carr and Chris Suckling were here long into the night making sure that we had all of the music ready, with exactly the right versions of each track, in exactly the right order.

I've just been looking through the completed top 500 and I can tell you that it's going to be a fascinating listen over the weekend. As well as all of the major jazz artists singing or playing the jazz greats, there are also some surprises along the way. So, if you've made any plans for the next few days, then I suggest that you either cancel them, or at the very least make sure that you keep your DAB Digital Radio close at hand!

Helen Mayhew, David Jensen and Margherita Taylor will be revealing the chart across the Easter weekend. It all starts at 9am on Good Friday morning.
